Ours is an accurate reproduction of the WW2 British Army Ammunition Boots, the standard-issue footwear for all ranks of the British and Commonwealth forces throughout the war. These boots became iconic for their rugged construction, distinctive hobnail soles, and black-polished finish.
Our WW2 British Ammo boots are made from thick, full-grain pebble-finish leather (approx. 2.5–3 mm thickness), the boots feature a leather sole reinforced with steel toe and heel plates and studded with hobnails for traction and durability. The uppers are plain-toe with internal stitching, blackened and polished to a high shine. Nine eyelets per side allow secure lacing, and the ankle height provides firm support for marching and field use. The shoe uppers are hand stitched and hand lasted to the soles, just like the originals.
These boots were worn by all branches — infantry, artillery, engineers, and armored corps — from 1939 to 1945 and remained in service well into the postwar years.
