There has been increasing fascination amongst collectors, reenactors, and history lovers looking for something that feels more authentic and detailed.
At Replicaters, the goal is to create pieces that stay close to the original military wear uniforms from the late 1890s and early 1900s.
Our Spanish American War uniforms are designed with a careful study of original designs and references, making them suitable for those who value historical accuracy in the finer details.
The US Army M1901 Summer Service Coat (Cotton Pattern) is a recreation of an old US Army uniform that existed after the Spanish American War in the early 1900s. At that time, the military was gradually moving away from using wool material uniforms to more comfortable materials such as cotton.
The uniform is made from cotton material and has four pockets (two breast pockets and two lower side pockets). In addition, the coat has brass buttons on the front part while the collar of the garment is of stand type. It is designed in such a way to resemble the original uniforms.
Also, it has shoulder straps that are designed to be attached to the badges of rank. The coat was mostly used by the US Army troops in regions such as the Philippines, the Caribbean, and other overseas locations.
This is a full military uniform outfit for the US Army. It consists of both a tunic (overcoat) and trousers, crafted out of sturdy khaki cotton drill material.
The tunic is fitted with a five-button front fastening system, as well as four pockets (two at the chest level and two at the lower level). There are shoulder straps provided where the insignias of rank were worn. Stand and fall collars were included in the design to enhance its military look.
The trousers have been tailored to fit a high waist and a standard button fly. Not only was this uniform used in the Spanish-American War era but also in other foreign operations such as the Boxer Rebellion, Philippines campaign, Cuba, and Puerto Rico.
