The WWII U.S. Army Garrison Shoes, also known as Low Quarter Service Shoes, were the standard dress footwear worn by U.S. Army personnel for Class A and garrison duty. Made from high-quality polished russet brown leather, these shoes feature a plain toe design with smooth finish, leather sole, and Goodyear welt construction.
Unlike the field-type “roughout” or “double-buckle” boots, garrison shoes were intended for parade, walking-out, and non-combat use, often worn with wool service trousers and the M1939 or M1944 service tunic. Issued widely to both officers and enlisted men, they completed the formal U.S. Army appearance throughout World War II
