The M43 Field Jacket features a concealed button front with storm flap, adjustable cuffs, internal drawcord at the waist, four large button-flap cargo pockets, and a convertible notched collar that can be worn open or closed with a buttoned throat tab. The jacket is fully compatible with the M43 pile liner for cold-weather use and includes button tabs for hood attachment.
The M43 Paratrooper Trousers are made from the same OD cotton sateen, with reinforced seat and knees, side adjuster tabs, large cargo pockets on each thigh, and ankle tabs for a secure fit over jump boots. These trousers were designed specifically for airborne use and became widely adopted by ground forces due to their practicality and durability.
