The WWII U.S. Army Officer’s Dark Olive Drab “Chocolate” Wool Shirt, as made by us, was the preferred winter service shirt of U.S. officers from 1942 onward. Made from fine worsted wool flannel in OD Shade 51 (dark olive-brown), this shirt was typically worn under the “pinks” tunic or the chocolate service coat. It features two pleated chest pockets with scalloped flaps, a full button front, button cuffs, and shoulder loops for rank insignia. The open collar allows wear with or without a tie. Known for its rich tone and elegant drape, it became the hallmark of the officer’s “pinks and greens” combination during the war.
Custom tailoring/alterations at no extra cost.
Great buy for reenactors, historians, collectors, museums, films/movies/theater.
