This reproduction represents the standard U.S. Army enlisted man’s service tunic used throughout World War II. Officially designated the Coat, Service, Wool, Serge, OD, it was worn by all branches for Class A dress and walking-out uniform. Made from fine 18 oz. olive drab wool serge, the tunic features a four-pocket design with scalloped flaps, notched lapels, and brass or gilt buttons bearing the U.S. Army eagle. Epaulettes are fitted on the shoulders, with an internal cotton lining for comfort. Rank chevrons, branch insignia, and overseas stripes were often added depending on unit and period. This authentic reproduction matches wartime tailoring and fabric exactly as issued to enlisted men from 1939 through 1945.
Trousers available too, and just the tunic or just the trousers can also be bought.
