The US Army Officer’s “Chocolate” Crusher Cap was a trademark headgear of WWII airmen and officers. Made from fine elastique wool in the distinctive chocolate-brown shade, this soft, flexible peak cap features a leather visor designed to be comfortably “crushed” beneath headphones or in the cockpit. It includes a brown leather chin strap, mohair braid band, ventilated grommets, and correct brass officer’s eagle insignia. The cap’s unstructured crown and authentic wartime cut replicate original AAF and service caps worn by US officers in Europe and the Pacific. Comes without the cap badge.
