These WWII U.S. Army Roughout Service Shoes (M1941–M1942 pattern) are an accurate reproduction of the standard combat footwear worn by American soldiers in the early and mid-war years. Constructed from rugged natural roughout leather (flesh-side out), these ankle-high boots were designed for durability and reduced maintenance under field conditions. The seven-eyelet lacing and reinforced toe seams ensured a secure fit, while the Goodyear welted rubber sole provided long wear in muddy or rocky terrain.
Typically worn with canvas M1938 or M1941 leggings (anklets) to protect the lower leg, these boots were issued to all branches of the U.S. Army, including infantry, engineers, and airborne troops, until replaced by the M1943 double-buckle combat boots late in the war.
Canvas M1938 leggings free with this offer.
