The British army Victorian 11th Hussars officer’s full dress trousers are made of deep blue wool ( slightly greater in weight than the tunic -around 12.5 oz. and are in 85% wool, tight weave), with a broad 3.5″ crimson stripe running down the outer seam of each leg. These trousers are highly tailored cavalry trousers were cut close-fitting through the thigh, slightly flared below the knee to accommodate riding boots, and reinforced at the seat and inner legs for mounted wear – and are different from the Guards & Engineers trousers on this page. Designed to match the crimson tunic, they completed the striking and elegant full dress uniform worn by officers of the 11th Hussars during the late Victorian era.
Custom tailoring/alterations are available at no extra cost.
