The WWII U.S. Army “Daisy Mae” Cap was the standard fatigue and field headgear issued with the Herringbone Twill (HBT) uniform beginning in 1942. Our replication, as per prevalent specs., has been made from durable olive drab HBT cotton, the cap featured a wide stitched brim for sun protection and a soft, unstructured crown for ventilation and easy folding.
Favored by mechanics, infantry, and armored troops alike, the Daisy Mae cap was worn in all theaters during warm-weather operations. Lightweight and breathable, it offered practical shade in field conditions and became an enduring part of American military workwear style.
