These are accurate reproductions of the WWII U.S. Army M1943 Combat Boots, popularly known as “Double Buckle” or “Two-Buckle” boots. Introduced in 1943 to replace the earlier service shoe and leggings, these boots combined the ankle support of gaiters with the practicality of an all-in-one design. Constructed from natural rough-out leather with smooth leather top cuffs, the boots feature two adjustable ankle straps with metal buckles, reinforced stitching, and Goodyear-type soles.
They were issued widely to infantry, airborne, and armored troops from late 1944 through the end of the war, becoming the standard combat footwear for U.S. forces in Europe.
Available in all size and half sizes for US customers – sizes above size 13 made on custom order.
Great buy for reenactors, collectors, museums, films/theater/movies.
