Specification of Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Uniform

Scarlet Tunic – A bright scarlet wool tunic with a stand-up collar, dark blue cuffs, brass buttons, and shoulder epaulettes. Traditionally closed with hooks and eyes at the collar. Made in fine wool fabric, it can be custom-tailored for children/large sizes. Fabric is 80% wool, mill dyed and very fine, just like the originals.

Sam Browne Belt – A brown leather cross-shoulder belt with waist strap, supporting the holster and ceremonial sword/baton. Leather is 100% pure, top grain, minimum 0.8 mm thick, naturally pigmented, bovine leather.

Breeches – Dark blue riding breeches with a distinctive wide yellow cavalry stripe down the outside seam of each leg. Breeches are in fine 80% wool, mill dyed.

High Brown Riding Boots – Tall brown leather boots reaching just below the knee, polished to a high shine. Boots are hand made, leather is 100% pure, top grain, 0.75 mm thick, hand lasted, naturally pigmented, polished to mirror finish black, bovine leather.

Spurs – Worn at the heel of the boots, reflecting the mounted cavalry heritage.

Stetson Hat – A wide-brimmed felt Stetson hat in beige color, pinched crown, secured with a leather chin strap.

Gloves – White cotton parade gloves for formal functions, provided with the uniform.

Cap Badge & Insignia – RCMP crest badge and rank insignia, depending on position – position can be indicated at the product selection menu. Various ranks are given below for your ready reference and choice. Embroidered rank insignia is included in the cost of the uniform.
