The 1871 Pattern Valise Equipment Set was the standard British Army load-bearing system used during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. Designed to evenly distribute the soldier’s field load, this reproduction includes the waist belt, shoulder braces, ammunition pouches, bayonet frog, haversack straps, and valise support straps. Made from top-grade buff or whitened leather, this set accurately recreates the pattern worn by British infantry and line regiments at Isandlwana, Rorke’s Drift, and other campaigns in South Africa. All brass fittings, buckles, and rivets are historically correct, ensuring both durability and authenticity.
