The WW2 French Army cone tent (tente conique) manufactured by us was a standard group shelter for French troops during the early and mid-20th century. Recognizable by its conical “bell tent” design, it features a circular base and a single tall central pole, with guy ropes radiating outward for support.
The French army cone/wedge tent is constructed from light khaki cotton duck canvas, the tent provides excellent weather protection and ventilation while remaining relatively simple to erect. With space for up to 10 soldiers, it was commonly seen in French Army training camps, rear-area encampments, and colonial stations, continuing a tradition of conical military tents used since the 19th century.
Its durability and efficient shape made it one of the most practical large tents of its time, still favored in reenactments and historical displays today.
