Highlights

Our complete Probyn’s Horse Uniform ensemble is historically correct and complete in every respection.  We initially used to make it for Mr. Keith Perks of “The Thin Red Line” but after his passing, we offer it to clients directly:

• Ideal for collectors, museums, theater, movies and collectors of memorabilia from the British Raj.

• The full dress lancer uniform included silvered equipment (curb chains over the shoulders also called chain mail – please see second picture in the picture gallery)).

• The tunic/kurta is dark blue, with a heavily gold embroidered (Zardozi embroidery) placket opening and is knee length.
• The Tunic/Kurta is full sleeved with gold Zardozi embroidery around the edges. There is gold embroidery in bullion wire all around the edge of the kurta/tunic – please see picture.
• Kurta is heavily embroidered on the upper sleeves – just below the shoulder – please see picture.
• The uniform comes with a scarlet cummerbund with embroidery in the Benares style.
• The uniform comes with a white cotton pajama, loose at the top, tapering from the knees.
• The Kurta is made in light wool fabric.
• The headgear consists of a Kulla (Kullah), with embroidered puggaree – specific to Probyn’s Horse.
• The uniform comes with black hand made high boots with leather soles.
• This uniform is custom made, please allow 30 days for embroidery to be completed.
• This ensemble replicates the Probyn’s Horse uniform during the India’s first war of Independence in 1857 and not of later periods.
• Uniform includes kulla, puggaree, kurta, chain mail, cummerbund, pajamas and boots as well as FedEx door delivery.
• Every uniform need to be custom tailored in this case.
