The World War II U.S. Women’s Army Corps (WAC) uniform represented the professionalism and discipline of American women serving in uniform from 1942 onwards. This replicated complete ensemble included the tailored service jacket, matching skirt, khaki shirt, and tie, together forming the iconic image of the wartime American servicewoman both at home and overseas.
Our replication of the standard service uniform is made from olive drab (OD) wool serge, with a four-button fitted jacket featuring notched lapels, two breast pockets, and two lower pockets with scalloped flaps. The jacket is worn with a matching six-gore knee-length skirt in the same OD wool. Underneath, WACs wore a khaki cotton shirt with button front and pointed collar, paired with a khaki wool tie and both are included in the ensemble.
Rank insignia and the distinctive “U.S.” and “WAC” lapel pins were worn on the jacket collar which are not provided with the uniform but can be arranged at a nominal payment – please Email/WhatsApp or mention in the “custom Tailoring” tab along with your order. Buttons are gilt finished plain. The Great Seal of the United States buttons are provided on request and extra payment. The WAC uniform was completed with flesh-colored stockings and low-heeled brown service shoes are included in the package.
A matching garrison cap / service hat was optional depending on duty assignment and is included in the package.
