A precise reproduction of the WWII British Army Other Ranks (OR’s) collarless service shirt, the standard issue garment worn by enlisted men throughout the war. Designed for rugged field wear under battledress or wool service tunics, this shirt was issued in khaki or grey-green shades from 1939–45 and worn by infantry, artillery, and service corps troops across all theatres.
Our shirt is made from heavyweight khaki cotton flannel, 7–8 oz per square yard. The fabric is tightly woven, warm, and durable, providing insulation and comfort under wool battledress. The shirt features a short stand collar (no fold), half-placket button front, and two-button cuffs — exactly as per wartime issue patterns.
Ideal for reenactment, museum displays, or accurate WWII British uniform sets, this reproduction captures the coarse texture and authentic construction of the original Army issue shirt. Great for films/movies/theater – custom tailoring available.
