Our WW2 British Army General Service (GS) caps are made from khaki serge wool, the same material (khaki wool serge, 600-650 gsm) as the battledress, it featured a simple circular crown with a soft top and a short peak stitched to the body. The cap was lined in cotton drill and fitted with a pair of brass General Service buttons at the front, often used to secure the regimental or corps badge. It was worn tilted slightly to one side, and its design allowed easy folding for storage in pockets when not in use.
This reproduction captures the authentic wartime cut, khaki shade, and finish of the original GS cap, making it an ideal match for British battledress and service uniforms of the 1939–45 period.
