This reproduction represents the ANZAC Khaki Drill Tunic, worn by Australian and New Zealand troops during World War I and into World War II in tropical and desert theaters. Tailored from durable khaki cotton drill, the tunic is lightweight yet rugged, designed for use in hot climates such as Gallipoli, Palestine, and North Africa.
The design features a stand-and-fall collar, pleated chest pockets with scalloped flaps, five-button front, and buttoned cuffs. Reinforced seams and ventilation eyelets ensure comfort in field conditions. The tunic was often worn with khaki drill shorts or trousers and a slouch hat, forming the classic image of the ANZAC soldier in warm-weather service.
