WW1 German Prussian Infantry Officer’s Dienstrock (Waffenrock) in field-grey wool (100% natural field grey fabric (85% wool, balance cotton/linen ingredients), no syndics used anywhere in construction, fabric is wool mélange grey, less than 12 oz. wt., tight weave and warm) with red piping, stand-and-fall collar with white facing, 7 brass buttons, 2 front slanted flapped pockets without buttons, half waist and piped vent in rear. and turned-back cuffs. This tunic reflects the official pre-war officer service dress introduced before 1914 and carried into the early war years.
