Our copy of the set brings together the essential headgear and footwear items worn by enlisted men of the Imperial Russian Army during the First World War. Just as the WW1 Russian summer uniform was designed for practicality in harsh field conditions – so is ours, the ensemble combines the khaki forage cap (furažka), M1910 short ankle boots, and cotton puttees into one complete product package.
-
Khaki Forage Cap (Furažka): Our Standard field cap with soft khaki crown, dark band, and black leather visor. Carries the Imperial cockade (hand embroidered) on the front, served as the primary headgear for enlisted soldiers after 1914.
- Forage Cap (Pilotka / Side Cap) – made Khaki wool, with hand embroidered cockade, foldable.
-
M1910 Boots: Our M1910 Boots are high-quality, short-ankle lace-up boots crafted in sturdy – naturally tanned- 0.8 mm or higher thickness- bovine leather. It was issued to all ranks and designed for durability, our boots and originals were worn with puttees for additional support.
-
Cotton Puttees: Long strips of khaki cotton cloth, wound tightly from ankle to knee, providing leg protection and stability. Puttees are 3.5 meters long X 3.5″ wide with cotton tape ties at the end. Made in same cotton fabric as the tunic and breeches. Essential for trench conditions and reducing fatigue on long marches.
Together, these four items complete the authentic field appearance of the Russian enlisted soldier, forming a functional, historically accurate set suitable for reenactors, collectors, or museums.
