Our WW1 M1915 Horizon Blue French army tunics for infantry and artillery soldiers come in the following features:

COLLAR TABS IN BRANCH OF SERVICE COLORS FOR MOST BRANCHES OF SERVICE PROVIDED – PLEASE SEE DROP DOWN MENU ABOVE:

The collar patches are 6 cm tall, and are sewn on both sides of the tunic collar, the numbers are embroidered free of charge in wool. Please specify your number after choosing the branch of service by email/WhatsApp/using the “custom tailoring request button” in the ordering section. A complete list of colors that can be ordered is given in the drop down menu of the product ordering section.

  • The Tunics are made in horizon blue wool, less than 14 oz. weight, mill dyed with natural pigments, made with natural fibers (80% wool content) & no synthetic blends, tight weave and warm and are cut for efficiency.

  • Five-button front closure with plain, utilitarian style, 4 pockets with plain brass dull buttons.

  • High stand-and-fall collar,  with/without regimental collar tabs (pattes de collet) in branch colors.

  • Straight cuffs and plain pockets.

The Price of the WW1 French Army M1915 reproduction  uniform for infantry, artillery and other branches of service  may vary a bit from continent to continent and due to local taxes, duties, tariffs, GST, levies etc. in your area.

Comes without the aiguilette in the picture, but it can be made for bulk orders, and in various branch of service colors.

Infantry (Ligne & Chasseurs)
  • Line Infantry (Infanterie de ligne): Dark blue/black collar patch with red numbers.
  • Chasseurs à pied / Alpins: Black patch with yellow numbers/horn emblem.
Artillery
  • Field & Heavy Artillery: Black patch with scarlet (red) numbers.
  • Colonial Artillery: Dark blue patch with yellow numbers.
Cavalry
  • Cuirassiers: Dark blue patch with white numbers.
  • Dragoons: Dark green patch with white numbers.
  • Chasseurs à cheval: Black patch with yellow numbers.
  • Hussars: Dark blue patch with scarlet numbers.
  • Spahis (North African): Dark blue patch with yellow crescent or numbers.

  • Shape: rectangular or slightly pointed patches, about 6 cm tall, sewn to both sides of the tunic collar.
  • Numbers: typically embroidered in wool , color per branch.
  • Background colors were standardized by arm but often varied slightly in shade due to field manufacture and supply issues.
  • Black was most common (with different colored numbers), dark blue for many colonial and cavalry units, and green for dragoons. Red numbers were overwhelmingly common, except where replaced with yellow, white, or light blue for distinction.
