Highlights

Complete WW1 US AEF Doughboy set now available as per picture (without the water bottle – though it comes with water bottle cover). No components can be sold separately as sets will be ruined.

Where components are available, we have listed then on the page. All webbing has been woven with 100% cotton canvas yarn, just like in the originals.

The yarn is dyed prior to weaving so there are no interstitial white spaces.

Most of the cost of the sets are shipping costs due to weight of pick axe etc. If re-enacting groups want to place bulk orders and take delivery by air instead of FedEx, costs might work out much cheaper.

Authentic reproduction of the WWI U.S. Army AEF Soldier Webbing Set, including belt, cartridge pouches, haversack, canteen, and bayonet frog. Rugged cotton canvas with brass hardware — the complete gear carried by Doughboys in France during the Great War.

The American Expeditionary Forces Webbing Set was standard issue for U.S. Army soldiers during World War I, providing soldiers with the essential equipment to carry ammunition, water, tools, and personal items while in the field. This reproduction faithfully replicates the original 1917–1918 gear issued to Doughboys.

  • Historical Accuracy: Reproduced from Quartermaster specifications and surviving examples from the Western Front.

  • Material: Durable cotton canvas with brass fittings, rivets, and buckles.

Components Include:

    • Belt: Adjustable waist belt for support of all attached gear

    • Cartridge Pouches: Two front pouches for rifle ammunition

    • Haversack: Canvas bag for personal items and rations

    • Canteen & Cover: Standard-issue water container with cover

    • Bayonet Frog: Leather or canvas loop to carry the M1917 bayonet

    • Entrenching Tool Carrier: Optional, for shovels or trenching tools

  • Design Features: Strong stitching, reinforced stress points, and functional closures for realistic wear.

  • Historical Context: Issued to every AEF soldier in the field, this webbing allowed Doughboys to carry all necessary equipment efficiently while on marches, in trenches, or during combat operations in France and Belgium.

Ideal for reenactors, collectors, museums, and film/theater productions, this webbing set completes the authentic appearance of the WWI U.S. Army infantryman.
