*Material: Made from lightweight khaki drill (cotton twill) fabric, designed for hot climates such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Palestine, and India.

Waist: High-waisted with belt loops or buttons for braces/suspenders. Some versions had an integrated cloth belt, ours don’t.

Pockets: Two slash side pockets; some had a small watch pocket (Ours don’t). Rear pockets were uncommon in earlier issues.

Legs: Straight cut, with no turn-up. They were worn loose, often with puttees or hose-tops (long knitted socks).
