Authentic reproduction of the WWI Imperial German Army cloth ammunition bandolier, designed to carry Gewehr 98 rifle clips, used widely in the trenches from 1914–1918.
The cloth ammunition bandolier was an additional means of carrying rifle cartridges used by Imperial German soldiers during the First World War. While the standard leather pouches remained regulation issue, shortages and the demands of trench warfare led to the production of lighter, practical cloth bandoliers that could be worn over the shoulder or across the chest.
