Our WW1 British Army Tam O’Shanter cap is made in khaki wool. Authentic reproduction Scottish headgear for re-enactments, collectors, film, and museum display.
Our WW1 British Army Tam O’Shanter (often called the “ToS”) is a faithful reproduction of the distinctive wool bonnet adopted by Scottish regiments during the First World War. Replacing the earlier Glengarry in 1915, the Tam O’Shanter became iconic on the Western Front, offering warmth, practicality, and a uniquely Scottish identity.
Made from thick khaki wool serge, this soft, wide-crowned cap features a short fabric headband and traditionally comes without a peak. Many originals carried a regimental hackle or badge on the left side, allowing unit distinction while retaining a uniform appearance.
