Our Canadian Army (CEF ) P’08 webbing sets and their components (as used by the British Army, Australian Army, New Zealand Army, ANZAC forces, most commonwealth armies ) are made with the same manufacturing process that was used during the time of the Great War. Until a few years back, the Indian army and the Isreali Defence Forces continued to use to use cotton webbing instead of synthetic/polymer webbing. This was largely on account of plastic webbing melting when struck by a bullet/shrapnel and then entering the wound, while cotton webbing just burned at the spot and did not enter the wound. So we have access to those very same machines that were used to make cotton canvas webbing. I have have provided detailed description of our P’08 webbing on WW1 British and WW1 Australian pages, and if you need to refer to something not given in the detailed product highlights given above, please read my description on those pages.
