This reproduction closely follows the wartime pattern, with the short battledress blouse featuring a fly-front button closure, pleated chest pockets with concealed buttons, and adjustable waistband tabs. The matching trousers are high-waisted, with a button fly, belt loops, and a large map-style pocket on the left thigh. The denim fabric was originally intended for summer or training wear, but it often saw combat use in warmer theatres and among armored units.
Fabric is 100% cotton twill (right-hand twill weave, similar to civilian denim), approx. 9 oz./sq.yd (about 270-320 gsm), tightly woven, Olive Green (British army Green), made with reactive vegetable dyes which will fade over time – giving the classical “worn out” look.
Ideal for reenactors, collectors, and museums, this is an exact reproduction of one of WWII’s most practical and iconic British uniforms.
