Our Victorian Era, British Army, Irish Guards Cavalry trousers -come with the following features:
Dark blue doeskin wool (extremely fine, natural fabric, 98% wool, 2% silk, 11 oz. wt. soft. extreme smooth touch, mill dyed), high-waisted cut, notched back, no pockets, brace buttons provided, button fly, reinforced seams & crotch, no trouser turn-ups, 1″ fold in at trouser cuff.
Two gold lace side stripes- Russian Braid (also called gold lace gimp-woven metallic cord) used. 2 parallel stripes per outer seam. Each stripe is 1/2″, with a spacing of 1/4″ between stripes, total combined width is 1 1/4″. Gilt metallic wire lace, matte finish for officers, bright gilt for ceremonial wear. Centered along the outer seam, running from waistband to hem.
