Fabric: Medium-to-dark blue wool (turchino blu), the official pre–WWI Italian officer color.

Collar: White or cream stand collar with embroidered royal eagles and rank stars.

Buttons: Large gilt plain brass buttons. The crowned Savoy eagle, correct for officers are available on extra charges.

Front: Single-breasted cut with six large front buttons, light piping along the edges.

Pockets: Two scalloped breast pockets and two scalloped lower pockets, typical Italian officer pattern of the era.

Cuffs: Italian pointed cuffs with decorative piping and brass buttons.

Shoulders: Officer shoulder loops for rank boards.

Tailoring: Curved front, shaped waist, and fitted back panel, consistent with 1903 officer tailoring.

Lining: Cotton / rayon lining depending on rank reproduction.

Use: Worn by line infantry, staff officers, artillery, and most branches before adoption of grigio-verde field uniforms.
Officer Breeches / Trousers (Pre–WWI Italian Pattern)

Fabric: Matching blue wool (turchino blu) to pair with the tunic.

Pattern: High-waisted officer cut, tailored with a fuller thigh and tapered lower leg.

Breeches Style: Optional reinforced inner thigh for mounted officers.

Fly: Button-fly closure with brass/ tin officer buttons.

Pockets: Side pockets with reinforced stitching.

Fit: Designed for wear with leather riding boots or ankle boots with gaiters.

Notes: This is the regulation officer service/dress trouser worn with the M1903 tunic until replaced by grigio-verde in the field around 1910–1915.

Historical Notes
The M1903 blue service tunic was the last blue uniform of the Italian Royal Army before grigio-verde became standard for field service. It remained in ceremonial, garrison, and walking-out use during the early stages of WWI. The design is highly recognizable with its scalloped pocket flaps, gilt buttons, and contrasting white collar.
