The German Army wall tent (Feldzelt) as manufactured by us was a standard unit-level field shelter used in both the First and Second World Wars. Designed with a rectangular base, vertical side walls, and a pitched roof, the tent offered more usable interior space compared to conical tents or smaller Zeltbahn shelters.
The German wall tents are constructed from heavy cotton duck canvas, these tents were issued in field-grey (for Europe) or tan (North Africa) canvas depending on the theater – and both versions are available with us for the same price.. The wall tent’s design allowed for cots, desks, and medical equipment to be placed neatly against the vertical side walls, making it popular as a troop billet, officer’s quarters, or field office.
In WW2, wall tents were frequently seen in Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe camps across Europe and North Africa, often used alongside Zeltbahnen.
