World War 1 (WW1) German
Austrian (Austro)-Hungarian/Romanian uniforms and gear
Welcome to the WW1 (World War One) German, Austrian, Hungarian, and Romanian uniforms, and gear. I have been making one odd uniform for these (the market is small), and only the German uniforms are commercially viable and popular. Here is a synopsis of our work in this field from the past 25 years.
WW1 (World War One) Imperial German Army Uniforms and gear
Imperial German Army Uniforms & Gear – IT is with great pleasure (and pride -I might add) That Ujna Universal brings you our collection of The Great War (World War One) German Imperial Army Uniforms, Equipment, Gear, and Pickelhaubes. Why did we take so long? It took us this long to have the correct WWI (World War One) Imperial Ww1 German Uniforms Feld Grau (Field grey) made for uniforms. Our Field Gray (grey) or Feld Grau is not the normal wool broadcloth dyed grey. Our Imperial Ww1 German Uniforms Field gray (grey) is the correct melange fabric. What that means is that we have used two types of woolen yarn to weave it—one black and one “muddy” or off-white. When woven together they give the distinct “muddy” Field grey(gray) color of The Imperial German Army of World War I (WW1). This is exactly how the fabric was woven during the time of the Great War. The fabric is an exact ounce-for-ounce replication in weight, weave, and color of fabric. Our ww1 (World War One) Imperial German Army wool or Feld Grau is not green, it is not simply gray ), it is the correct “muddy” off-white Gray as worn during World War one (ww1), Imperial German Army Uniforms & Gear.
To make this correct World War I Imperial German Army uniform fabric we took a big risk – our mill would not make anything less than 500 meters. Still, we figured that we could sell enough uniforms over a couple of years to justify stocking our Imperial German Army uniform field grey. You will find our Imperial German Army uniforms a little more expensive than our other uniforms, but please remember, we have paid upfront for a lot of fabric and that payout will come over the years. Our intention was to make available quality Great War (World War One, ww1) Imperial German Army uniforms, at the best price available anywhere in the world, to re-enactors and the reenacting community, living history groups, museums, and for costumes for films, movies, TV, theatre, plays and documentaries. I believe we have been successful in our objective – World War One (WW1, WWI) Imperial German Army Uniforms and Gear
For re-enacting purposes, our uniforms are correct not only for the WWI (World War I) Imperial German Army but also for the Austro-Hungarian armies (the Central Powers) 1917-18. Each WW1 (World War One) Imperial German Army uniform is custom-tailored as per size chart and is replicated from original samples that we have been provided by members of the Great War Association and purchased from reputed militaria dealers. The uniforms are correct not just in their outside appearance but also have the correct lining and pockets. Although there are other Imperial German Army uniforms on this page, our enlisted uniforms are accurate for ranks from Private (Fusilier, Gemeiner, Musketeer, etc) to Sergeants and also Junior NCOs (Fahnrich).
