As soon as we get into 19th and early 20th-century uniforms and gear replication, I warn our clients that all leather articles purchased from other stores are grossly incorrect. It is all made in chrome-tanned leather, which was not used then. ALL OUR LEATHER PRODUCTS ARE MADE FROM NATURALLY TANNED LEATHER. Also, the wool used by our local competitors is incorrect – they use fake Melton’s, which is 80% wool and 20% SYNTHETIC incipient. We use Broadcloth, which is 98% wool and 2% silk. The quality is apparent if you put both side by side. Melton was not used at that time, only broadcloth was. Costing is also vastly different – Melton is US$ 0.75/meter and our aged Broadcloth is US$5.30/meter.

Customer Feedback:

Hari Om Sanjay and Salutations,

How are you and your family? I hope you are all well.

I received my parcel yesterday. It was delivered and I really want to compliment you on your fine work. I am enthralled by the workmanship and the jacket and trousers fit like a glove. Thank you so much. I has been a pleasure doing business with you and I’ll definitely contact you in the future when I am ready to build up another uniform. I’m thinking of building a World War II American battle uniform and a French Napoleonic uniform.

I’ll send you a photograph of myself wearing the uniform soon.

God bless you all.

Regards,

Subject: The completed uniform!

Hari Om Sanjay and Good Afternoon!

You may use the following as a testimonial for your website or any other advertising you wish:

The trousers arrived today, completing the custom job you did for me to recreate the uniform of a US Army aide-de-camp in the Quartermaster department of the period 1903-1910. Like the magnificent tunic, the trousers fit perfectly.

Thank you for an excellent job and especially for your attention to the little details. It has been a pleasure working with you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Douglas B. Willingham
